Jo walked us through the comments that have been received on the addendum
As of The Addendum update had included all the comments received/discussed to date with reviewers by 3 Sep.
On 4 Sep we received review comments from Karine Boulet Gaudreault, Manager Aviation Facilitation, of IATA. These are some of the key points:
"Thank you for this opportunity to comment.
The work on guardianship credential undertaken by the GHP is important and brings to light much broader questions surpassing the framework of international aviation. But as highlighted in the High Level Considerations section, a progressive approach will be required so that guardianship relation can be taken into account in the aviation ecosystem.
There are many scenarios that are presented in the documents and this effort should be praised. However, I am questioning if there should be a split between a dependant that is accompanied by the guardian and when they are not accompanied, for instance in the case of UM. The implications are to my view very different. It may be more simple to start with the scheme of proof of guardianship when the dependant is accompanied by the guardian. Another thought that came to my mind while reviewing the document is that linking the use of digital health credentials with a collateral objective to fight trafficking in persons, while laudable, is extremely ambitious."
In addition, there are series of comments that Karine provided in an attached and marked up MS Word document version of the Addendum.
It was agreed these should be incorporated into the document and that care should be taken to ensure that these are seen as special considerations for Air Travel and might then be reflected as footnotes or other mechanisms.
In addition, we should seek from Karine / IATA how best to reflect their contribution to the document.
