Main Goal of this Meeting

Shift the focus to Data related issues for other ToIP WG/TF groups (including Authentic Data, Authentic Provenance Chains and Data Access Governance

  • Topic: Verifying Data Processing/Transforms.Data can go through many transformations; from raw data capture to publishing for general use. To be Authentic and reproducible, the following are required:

    • Verifiable identities (devices, people, authorities) - including who signs off on each transformation step
    • Verifiable data - that the data is tamper resistant and traceable to source(s)
    • Verifiable Data Processing - be able to verify, and in some cases replicate each of the processing environments for each transform (e.g. re-run scripts for data cleaning).

    Verifiable identities - techniques exist
Verifiable data - data that is signed PKI signatures by the data itself (DID) and roles responsible for the data (DevOp, GovAuth)So what are useful mechanisms for capturing Data processing steps.PS: This will likely also be tied to Consent (e.g., user consents to both the data and processing

      • Bridging Language Barriers: An Open Translation Library for eIDAS Connectors

        • Problem: eIDAS connects decentralized identifiers (DIDs) to domestic services of the EU. Language barriers obstruct the integration in EU's diverse linguistic landscape. No existing solution bridges this gap.

        • Solution: open-source JSON library, including all official eIDAS translations. This resource will mitigate language barriers and minimize errors in international DID projects.

        • Duration: 2 - 3 months, starting from Sept 23

      • Global Birth Certificate Issuance Processes: An Open Library

        • Problem: International identity projects face extensive research due to the absence of a unified list of birth certificate issuance processes worldwide.

        • Solution: a GitHub-based open-source JSON library, streamlining birth certificate processes internationally to facilitate identity projects.

        • Duration: 12 months, starting from Sept 23
