Review of public commentseveryone

Notes

  • Antitrust and IPR announcement
  • Discussed the comment made by Noam regarding this being a really long document. This is being handled by the “Get It Together” group.
  • Next we discussed the comments from Harmen van der Kooij. Savita asked about how things will work in terms of certification. Chris noted that in terms of our group, we don’t have compliance checklists, as those will be covered by other groups.
  • Savita: Should we add a requirement in our section that rules engines must check with a trust registry in order to be compliant? Chris discussed scope, and how the tightened scope means that many of these things are pushed into other groups. Chris will bring this up with the “Get It Together” group.
  • Reviewed feedback from the DIF H&T SIG. This is out of scope. That said, the right side of Figure 13 is fairly general, and could be adapted to other situations. Savita asked who will be picking up the other H&T use cases.
  • Talked about Viola Wang’s general comments, which focuses on making sure items get into the reference section.
  • We reviewed the general comments from Daniel Hardman. There needs to be a general section on why we aren’t addressing certain things.
  • We discussed the general feedback provided by Trevor Butterworth. We will call out the fact this doesn’t have to be a network service (e.g., an offline copy of a trust registry). Also, post-COVID rules engines are not simple, plaintext databases. And, there can be variance in the process.
  • We discussed adding the Zones to Figure 13. This is more of a coupling diagram (i.e., what subsystem feeds which other subsystem(s)). Savita noted that some of the steps may be performed out of order. Chris is going to update the written description to reflect this.
  • We discussed the comment from Noam on 7.1.4.1.1.
  • Discussed the comment form Hervé Prezet on 7.1.5.1.1. Savita suggested some rewording to the section, including dropping the second line. Chris suggested getting rid of the entire first paragraph, and then provide some supplemental material to the current second paragraph.
