Notes

• IP and antitrust announcement.
• Deprecated another document in the folder. We need to make sure we are only working in one document.
• Discussed problem statement #1, specifically with WACI Pe-X.
• Briefly brought up the conversation that happened earlier this week in DIF’s Slack Workspace (#wg-claims-credentials) regarding WACI Pe-X that spawned following IIW.
• Kaliya noted that a lot of apps are moving to QR codes (or other related approaches) that allows for the transmission of data without an “exchange dance”.
• We discussed the formats for digital passes. It’s going to be context specific.
• We discussed offline credentials. The Paper Credentials drafting group have proposed definitions for offline and online credentials. Trust Registries drafting group is working on the logistics for how these can be verified offline.
• David provided some additional information from the work that Paper Credentials drafting group is doing.
• We reviewed the section regarding to PKI-based systems (Problem #7).
• Brent is explaining the etymology of the BBS+ name.
• We had a conversation regarding the methods by which signatures are verified, especially in terms of offline. An offline situation would require a full download. The Trust Registries drafting group has decided that the method to do this will require its own specification that will need to be developed.
• We discussed current and new section assignments.
• Brent will be continuing the editorial pass that he already started once the sections are ready.
• Kaliya is going to provide the context related to the reasoning behind pointing to the still-under-development WACI Pe-X.
• Kaliya reminded the importance of getting the document ready for review by close of week (before Monday).
