Highlights of the ToIP Technology Architecture Specification for the GSWG
Wenjing illustrated the key points of the architecture by reference to how they would be applied in the Ecosystem Foundry WG's "Museum Pass" family of use cases. Key takeaways:
An ecosystem governance framework (EGF) would need to set policies of some kind at all four layers of the architecture.
An EGF would most likely need to set policies for the actors/parties playing specific roles, but less so for governing specific components.
The Museum Pass family of use cases is actually a very good exercise of the whole ToIP stack. In particular, there are at least 3 different trust tasks involved at Layer 3:
We agreed that in a December special topic meeting, we should review the list of ToIP Technology Architecture Specification requirements (MUSTs, SHOULDs, MAYs) to see which cast new requirements on the first generation ToIP Governance Architecture specs.
