The Data Modelling and Representation Working Group (and the Task Forces within it) is focused on understanding how to adapt data needs to SSI (and ToIP) and vice versa. A core requirement is understanding and developing how the concepts of Authentic Data impact how data is structured, exchanged, used, managed and verified in both the SSI and non-SSI "worlds".

A reality check is that the technologies being developed in the SSI community (including related data technologies) will be gradually and unevenly be adopted. This suggests looking to provide benefits with less than complete or ideal technology SSI/data solutions but with a clear path to full adoption over time. Authentic Data looks like an ideal candidate.

For an overview of the ToIP stack, see the Introduction to ToIP white paper.
